Tailored Bay Engineering is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable international privacy frameworks.
Tailored Bay Engineering ("we", "us", "our") provides mechanical CAD design, laser cutting and engraving, 3D printing, custom woodwork, and personalised gift services. We act as the Responsible Party under POPIA and the Data Controller under GDPR.
POPIAGDPR This policy applies to all website visitors, clients, and individuals whose personal information we process in connection with our engineering and manufacturing services, regardless of location.
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as health records, biometric data, or religious beliefs.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for marketing purposes.
POPIAGDPR Where personal information is transferred outside South Africa or the EEA, we ensure adequate safeguards — transfers only to countries with adequate data protection, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), or explicit consent where required.
Technical files, CAD drawings, sketches, and specifications you share with us are used exclusively to deliver your project. We do not reproduce, resell, or share client design files with third parties without explicit written consent. Files are retained for project purposes and deleted or archived securely after completion.
POPIA Right of access, correction, deletion, and to object to processing. Complaints to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
GDPR EEA/UK residents additionally have rights to data portability, withdrawal of consent, and to lodge complaints with local supervisory authorities (e.g. ICO in the UK).

We implement technical and organisational security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption, access controls, and secure file storage. No internet transmission is 100% secure, but we take every reasonable step to protect your information and your design files.
